Assembly was typical of this type of furniture. However at least 75% of the pilot holes were missing which made it hard to assemble due to trying to physically push in screws through the laminate let alone know exactly where you needed to put it. I am handy and had a drill and small bits to make them myself which was the only way making assembly possible. If you are not handy or lack the tools you will want to look for another brand. Also I am not sure how they do it but the finished product definitely looks smaller in person than the pictures of the unit do. This would be to small for an average size adult but works ok for a kid/teenager.
