As someone that spends a frequent amount of time traveling, I find myself frequently looking for ways to make my workspace during extended hotel stays more efficient and comfortable. Although these days, it's more the trip from my desk to the kitchen or patio that I prefer to make a bit more comfortable. I find this mat fits the bill just right for quick and easy to use, great quality that I don't mind placing on my table (where there might be nasty little bits of food, gasp!) or outside with pollen/dust/etc. The vegan leather finish makes it perfect for wiping down and not picking up every speck of dust like similar cloth mats. As other users have mentioned, it's great when you need to slap a piece of paper down on a slightly malleable surface to get those darned ball point pens to work (think those little leather writing pads some places have to fill your check out).The storage strap allows me to roll it up to travel to my next workspace with ease. Therein lies one of my concerns, is how this product will hold up to the ages of movement and use. The construction appears to be sturdy, although I may recommend double stitching the edges in a future revision. Also, while resistant to movement while placed, it is not impervious to slippage. I frequently move around so I don't notice it as much; however, I suspect that those on a smooth surface may notice a slightly undesirable amount of slippage depending on use. This is likely caused by the soft fiber-like backing that was chosen in favor of a more textured gripping backing.As one can see I'm also frequently wireless, but the cable organizer is great for making sure my charging cables don't coil up over my workspace. Did I mention it's vegan...I mean I'm not vegan by any means, but I'm for every bit of sustainability we can eek out of our industry and environment. ALSO STOP DRINKING ALMOND MILK, IT'S TERRIBLE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT (Oat/Soy FTW), AND while you're looking for a vegan desk mat, I highly recommend this one.
