Franceasi 18" Single Light Outdoor Wall Sconce with Light Umber Seeded Glass in Olde Bronze Finish - Perfect for Porch, Patio, and Exterior Entryway Lighting

Great looking wall sconce. Especially with a warm bulb---2700 kelvin or less. A bulb with amber glass is best. I used led. Assembly is required to insert the glass into sconce frame. The glass comes with a single rubber buffer attached to the bottom. The top if the glass is held with a screw down clamp with a rubber pad attached. Had to bend the clamp to get the glass tightly held. Attaching the light to my wood siding required some creative thinking since my wall did not have a box in the wall with the wiring inclosed. Just a small hole where the conduit poked through the siding to the outside. As you can see. I think the effort was worth it.Installed 4 in the front of the house. Saw a larger version at Wyndam Oceanside and called to talk to maintenance to find out the manufacturer. The larger ones were mid $400, so was happy to find the smaller one that fit my house better. Install was straightforward. I put a block behind it that was cut into the lap siding to keep vertical and clean. Slight pet peeve to have a light on an angled lap, plus it wouldn't work with the height of the back part of this light. Looks great. Put on a smart switch with a schedule so I can show off on routine :)Love the fact that this light does not have glass.We bought a pair of these to replace some really ugly spotlights installed in our backyard deck area. They actually look very nice but the assembly and installation process brought out some language and feelings inappropriate for a family setting.First you will have to hunt around for your precision screwdriver set so you can remove the top in order to be able to install the glass panels. The glass panels then have to be installed with small screws and brackets that need to go into an awkward place while you are simultaneously trying to hold the glass in position and get a tiny screw started in a hole that is just slightly smaller than it should be. The panels also come with some single sided mounting tape on the top and bottom. The intention seems to be to protect the glass from direct contact with the mounting brackets but the correct relationship between that tape and the brackets is unclear and undocumented. Once assembly was complete I was left with the nagging feeling that I didn't have the glass installed quite right. It looks fine, but does not feel very secure.I did have some issues with shipping. One of the lanterns arrived with two out of three glass panels broken. Amazon customer service handled this brilliantly as usual and I had a replacement on my doorstep the very next day. Unfortunately that one arrived without installation hardware. At this point, the wife is getting impatient and aggravated that there are bare wires sticking out of her beautiful house and I punted, went to Lowe's and got a generic light fixture mounting kit. Overall I would say I am underwhelmed, but unsurprised, with the craftsmanship but very pleased with the look.The fixture is nice, but it does have a design problem. As others have stated putting the glass inserts in place is problematic. If the glass were 1/8 inch smaller (height) it would fit better. As it is the bracket does not fit properly allowing the glass to fall outward at the top. I was able to solve the problem by inserting a small nut under the bracket to raise it up enough to clear the glass but I am not sure how long this will hold as the screw is very short and just barely tightens.Althought the product description states "the light umber seedy glass enhances the traditional style while providing romantic atmosphere to make it a useful and eye-catching accent to your home.", my two lamps were missing the glass inserts.I contacted Amazon.com and am was referred to Kichler. Kichler replied promptly. There is no glass. Apparently the picture of the fixture trumps the text of the product description. Very happy with the result. The LED version without glass panels is more suited for exteriors so we went for that one.Hi. The ligjting has very nice looking but umfortunately one side glass was broken when it reached our site. We are not sure if glass plate can be ordered separately or not?
