Well it works. I'll admit I didn't read the product description to closely, i assumed it would be made of plastic, got it to find out it's made of some kind of metal, so that's a nice surprise. It says its 2 1/8" wide, I'd say it's closer to 2", I measured it with a scale which read slightly under 2 but then it flares out near the top pushing it closer to 2 1/8. I used a 2 1/8" hole saw on my desk and fits pretty loosely, I was expecting a tighter fit. With that said, as is I see nothing wrong with it to dock it a star, it does fit even if ever so loosely, made of metal, decent finish. Overall it's a decent product. My house came with built in desks in the bedrooms with solid desk tops, using this to run chords through the desktop.
