It’s very beautiful picture doesn’t do it justiceI put the desk together by myself (other than having my husband lift the top piece on). Easy to assemble, but it came cosmetically damaged, probably from being shipped. Overall, the desk will work for what I need it for.I needed to replace a 40 year old desk, and the local depot-type stores only had obscene prices. I checkout the better prices that Amazon had, and selected this desk; Sauder 413084 Beginnings Desk with Hutch, to replace it. It arrived well packed; no dents, dings or other damage. All the parts were there, and no issue with missing pieces, or misplaced drill holes that did not match up. The instructions were easy, bite sized, step by step processing, and I had the desk built within a few hours. It is solid, sturdy and looks very good. I wake up in the mornings and am pleased to see it looking as good as it does. I Thank You, Sauder, for having affordable desks that are pleasing to the eye, and most of all, functional and durable!This desk is beautiful! I love everything about it, I am a clinical physiology major at CWU and I needed a desk that fit all my studying needs. The drawers are discreet and hide all my textbooks and I have a lot of work space as well as space to store little things. It looks very professional and fits the decor in the rest of my home. The only draw back is assembly. My fiancé spent 3 hours putting this desk together for me, it was frustrating because it come with so many parts in a bunch of different unmarked bags. But once we sorted through everything putting the desk together was worth it! So if you have the spare time and a lot of patience and want a fantastic looking desk! This desk is for you!Not once did I have a moment of confusion or frustration putting this together. Maybe once or twice when I had to flip the entire thing over, but that's because I'm a weakling. My dad helped for that part, though. On the drawer part under the monitor, I left out the cover and the handle so that it would be my keyboard drawer. Works perfectly for what I needed. I took a couple of breaks, and worked very slowly and carefully and finished it by myself after 3.5 hours. Be careful when you're setting up the flat pieces that make up the back of the thing. They crease way too easily.I bought this desk for the compact size and wood-finish look. I find it to be a great value for what I paid for it. I am able to hold a full computer monitor and keyboard in the space, and there are deep shelves that can hold 11x17” sheets perfectly. The open shelf on top of the desk as well is great for displaying any small items you would like. I actually have a desk organizer up there.I never do these product reviews. In fact this is the first one I have ever posted, but I felt that it was worth the post. I recieved this in excellent condition. What impressed me most was how easy the directions were to follow. Many other things I have tried to put together, were very difficult due to the directions being confusing or in broken english. I am not very good with tools or building things. It took me about 3 hours to build by my self. It would probably go faster with 2 people or someone who has more experienced building things. It's a meduim size compact computer desk that fits great in the corner of my living room. Highly recommended!This was easy to assemble, and is a nice size. It looks attractive enough. But, even for the price paid, I don't think it's much of a value. The locking cams that connect the desk top to the lower pieces count on a thin plastic expansion piece that cannot grip the mdf well enough, and even if it could, the mdf is kinda crumbly, so that when standing the thing up and flipping it over as you're supposed to during construction, you have to be very careful not to pull apart the joints. This thing is fine standing in one place, but it would never survive a move. If you buy this, I'd suggest Gorilla Glue in all the pre-drilled holes, especially the cam holes. I wish I'd used it.On the plus side, the instructions (which I had to get as a pdf via automated email from the company after filling in the bar code info on their web site) were clear and easy to follow, and all of the pre-drilled holes were in exactly the right place.Smaller than expected. The instruction tell you not to use a drill, but the screws are so hard to put in that you’ll either need the strength of an Olympic weightlifter or a GOOD DRILL to ensure it will be stable. The cabinet door is not straight because the holes for the hinges are misaligned and won’t adjust properly. Instructions were easy to read and the desk ended up nice, but it is NOT worth the trouble.No problems with instructions.A nice piece of furniture for years to come.This is a nice deal. Be mindful you have to build from scratch may not have somewhere to place your printer; but the finished product is sturdy and meets my needs for something that looks decent, has sufficient storage etc. Worth every penny!Priduxr is great for my daughters use but don't expect to kadt more than 5 years. Quality not the best.Easy to put together
