Love the look of the desk and the quality of the desk!!! My only complain the the center drawer makes me hit it when using a nice office chair. I would buy this product again and recommend it!!Liked it all. Solid piece. Visually nice finish.Very pleased with this item. There were a few issues relating to damaged parts and a broken part, but it did not affect the overall appearance or functionality of the product. The only issues I had with the assembly instructions was that the instructions for assembling the pencil drawer were incorrect in that the way the sides, front and back were reversed and the lack of predrilled holes for screws were nonexistent adding to the mild confusion. The instructions for putting all of the "sub-assemblies" together were a little vague due to the fact that the instructions didn't mention installing the cam dowels into their respective holes. A nonissue since there were parts and there were holes therefore the cam dowels must be inserted into the empty holes. I didn't time myself because although I am a 73 yo retired union carpenter this sort of thing comes easy but having a bad back and residual breathing issues left over from having Covid two years ago it would not be an accurate measure. To make things easier on my back I did assemble the "subassemblies" on my kitchen counter. I gave it four stars due to the damaged/broken parts.I’ve read some of the negative reviews on here & I’m laughing at the complaints on the assembly process. If anyone says it’s hard to assemble, well I question your abilities.I have never put together such a well laid out & organized piece of furniture in my life. Every single piece is labeled & even the bags the screws come in are labeled. If you READ the instructions & LOOK a the pictures, you can’t mess up. Yes, there are a lot of pieces. You’re putting together a desk! If if all just snapped together in a few steps…then I would question the quality. Just lay out all the pieces (there are a lot) & give yourself space to build. All the prefilled holes lined up perfectly & you can adjust the tracking on the drawers so that they close properly (saw a complaint on that as well…face palm). Next, give yourself time. It did take me awhile…about 4 hours. There are even jokes in the directions & videos to watch if need be.Someone else complained that it wasn’t made of real wood. Ummmmm…did you expect solid wood for $240? Yes it’s particle board with a laminate finish. If you want solid wood you will pay thousands. The wood used is thick, solid & sturdy. The backing is thin laminate that you tap brad nails into…very common for furniture in this price range. The packaging was done so well that I struggled opening it up. No nicks or scratches. And I read that those who were unfortunate enough to have damaged pieces had replacements sent within days.I love this desk & will be purchasing the matching side tables soon! The instructions were very clear even though there were alot of parts, which took maybe 3 hours total to make. The shipping was great - it came on time and there was no damage to the pieces. Even though the pieces are plywood the desk feels very sturdy. The only thing that broke during assembly was the patented grooved piece of wood - thankfully it was not necessary. Overall, this desk was a good purchase so far.Easy to assemble took one day. Lots of pieces and I was worried but the instructions were spot on and the pre drilled holes lined up perfectly. Super impressed with how AMAZING it looks too. Proud of this purchase.Assembly was frustratingEverything came together perfectly.Pros: This is a good-looking and sturdy desk. Too bad about the "Cons" below but once assembled it's not a bad desk overall.Cons: The right-hand bottom drawer is supposed to be good for either letter or legal size folders. Unfortunately the legal size ones don't fit because the space is a fraction of an inch too short.-Most plastic parts are cheap and flimsy. That includes the door-stop on the left door, the cord-clip (9P) and the plastic ends of the cam dowels (more below).-The pencil drawer stops are hard and clanky. To pull this drawer open you have to pull it from underneath. This area is rough and has relatively sharp corners. I had to smooth that off myself.-Instructions could be better. I think that all the cam dowels (2F) that fit into the desk top should be inserted into the desk top before being inserted into the adjoining parts. The reason is that it's very difficult to line up these dowels with the holes in the desk top when they are already in the adjoining parts because they are sitting loosely in these parts at that stage of assembly. Even if they appear to be lined up perfectly the plastic parts seem to grab the rough surface of the hole in the desk top and won't go in unless you force them in. That's how I broke the plastic ends of two dowels when inserting panel G2. And yet if you insert them one at a time at the last minute into the desk top they go in easily. And they then also go in easily into the adjoining panel because that end is smaller than the hole and end up inside the hidden cam without having to force anything. I was reading in another review that someone else broke two cam dowels and I would bet that the same thing happened as with me.However, again, overall the value for money is probably there.Takes a long time to put together. My husband spent several hours over 2 days putting it together, and he’s very good at doing this kind of thing. The colour is brown and not true to the colour in the picture (milled cherry). It looks lighter when I shine a light on it. There were several scratches on top of the desk. Extremely heavy. I’d like to send this back but after all the hours spent assembling it, how could you unless Amazon came and picked it up as is!Follow instructions carefully. The assembly order is a little different from other items I have built. Won't work if you get ahead of the instructions. Pictures not always as clear as they could be. I installed front lower door trim upside down... but didn't find that out until a few steps later so had to back track and take items apart to get back to where I made my mistake.Although the desk looks ok, the construction and durability are an absolute joke. After only a few months both bottom front rails on the desk have broken off from my 6 year old resting his feet on it. He was not using it has a ladder but simply resting his feet. When I received the desk it was already damaged in some locations due to the particle board breaking off in some of the corners. If you want a desk that will just be on display and never used this is the desk for you. If you want something that will last, don't waste your money on this. This product was very difficult to put together and then when it was...drawers do not fit properly ..was going to return it but not worth the hassle ..would not repurchase
