I love my new desk, however it arrived damaged. There are white paint stains throughout the top grey wood grain. For the amount of money this desk cost, I accepted it to be flawless. I've contacted the manufacturer and will update once they respond. ***UPDATE: I contacted Amazon (manufacturer) and they were great! They apologized and offered a 20% refund to repair the paint damage. I was completely satisfied with this and thought it was fair since I did not want to return the desk and wait for a new one to be shipped.Second issue: I paid for the white-glove assembly service. It mentioned a technician would show up and assemble the desk, tear down boxes and clean up. This is what I expected...white-glove service. The only reason I chose this service is because my husband has had total knee replacement and I recently had surgery. So we can't lift or push/pull heavy items. When the technician arrived she took one look at the box and said "oh boy". We knew it wasn't going to be good news. She said her partner was pulled away to do another job and so she's by herself. Mind you, I received an email confirming the date and told to expect two technicians. She said she could reschedule us for a later time or asked if one of us could help her. My husband felt bad for her and we had waited so long for the desk to arrive, he said he'd help her. It wasn't a big deal, but then again it was. Because we wouldn't have had the extra "white-glove" service added if we were going to do it ourselves anyway. The desk came fully assembled except for the pedestal feet. She assembled the feet and then walked out into the hallway and said. "do you want me to help you tear down the boxes?" Wait, what? Help US? Again, not what was advertised as white-glove service. After she cut down the boxes I asked her if she was taking the trash (boxes, paper, Styrofoam) with her. She said no, she has no where to dump it because she was in her personal car. It would be our responsibility to dispose of everything. Next time, don't waste your time or money paying for addiotnal services that don't follow through on what they advertise. This was our first time selecting this type of service but won't bother next time.A beautiful desk for my husband. A desk to be proud of!!!Looked for a desk for a while and found what I wanted was in the multiple thousands of $$ at local stores, so I checked online and found this desk at a reasonable price. Expected it to be a bit flimsy and made w/ particle boards but was thrilled to find it is solid wood. I haven't found any particle board on it. Particularly expected the back panel would be flimsy but it is 1/2in solid board. Legs attach very securely, the drawers don't wobble at all, and the surface is beautifully finished.Only issue I had was with the delivery company on contract with Amazon. I think the delivery folks didn't want to deal with it because it's so large and is heavy so they kept rescheduling the delivery to the point where I had to threaten to return it, then Amazon got involved and it showed up the next day. Go figure. Glad they did because it really is a great desk and it was packaged like a beast so there was no damage.One note, the desk is darker in color overall than the one shown in the image on Amazon. It doesn't have the distinct wear marks you see in the photos. Not a big deal but worth noting.Desk is beautiful! Comes fully assembled with the exception of the feet. The shipping box is huge and was very well packaged on the inside . No damage at all, not even a scratch! It does weigh a lot so some help would be advised . The delivery was earlier than expected which almost never happens but they will not bring in the house. So be aware of that and the weight when purchasing .. very happy with this desk!This is a great quality desk. I took off 1 star because #1 the delivery company did not deliver it until a week after Amazon said it was going to be delivered and #2 it is not a true white. It is not cream, it's kind of in-between white and antique white. We only had to put the legs on the desk, it comes assembled. Very sturdy, solid desk.I was apprehensive about ordering an expensive piece of furniture through Amazon but it arrived packaged well with no damage. The desk is heavy and well made and looks great. Very satisfied with the purchase.Style, Quality, this desk is what it says it is. I will buy this brand again for sure. My favorite part is the herringbone design top. Very unique and just top quality. It fit exactly the design and look i was hoping to get in that office.Solid, well built, almost completely assembled. Only had to screw feet to the bottom. Looks great. Would be nice to have a way to have cords cross across bottom unseen. Better than expected but top is gray not brown, just FYI. Wish the keyboard drawer locked in place if you don't need keyboard function. Pleasantly surprised by the flexible dividers in the drawers.I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a nice desk under $1500.
