Despite some of the negative reviews, I ordered this fan anyway, appeared to be just what I wanted. On receipt, discovered it was exactly what I wanted, small, 2 speed, quiet and lots of airflow. No air conditioning in my home, don't normally need it...I discovered that my WiFi router was overheating-hot to the touch. I set this little fan up to cover the router, thinking I might have to use the high speed setting. I started on high, then later the low setting to see if it would do the job. It did. The router is no longer over heating, and cool to the touch. The low setting on the fan is more than enough to cool things down. It's also a very quiet fan., been running 24/7 for 3 days now, still quiet, and even the fan housing is cool. It is understood that anything running 24/7 will eventually have some problems..time will tell how this nifty little fan holds up.ADD ON: It has been running for 10 months now, 24/7 - still quiet and efficiently cooling my router!
