Coaster Home Furnishings Black Writing Desk with Keyboard Tray & Built-in Power Outlet - Perfect for Home Office, Study Room & Small Spaces

We wanted to downsize our large corner desk w/ hutch, so we decided on this as the measurements were perfect for the office. Very nice and contemporary looking, but not high quality (certainly not worth the $300+ price tag). Considering other furniture purchases I've made through amazon.com, which have been better quality and lower pricing, this was kind of a disappointment. I will say that it does match our other furniture well, I just wouldn't purchase again (unless it were around $100).The pictures look nice, and it may have been a nice desk if I picked it up, but one of the corners is completely crushed, and the center drawer only had one rail attached, so it's currently supported by boxes until I fix it. It's no wonder it was beat up though: the box disintegrated when touched. Will update as I find more issues. So far the assembly hardware being present earned it its one star.Update: 1/4 of the drawer pulls are bent.Update: A sadist packed the whole thing with polystyrene beads. My entire apartment is covered with the herpes of packing supplies. There is a special place in hell for whomever packed this desk.Update: I've spent several hours picking up white beads from every surface of my apartment. Do I get a discount on mental institutions through amazon prime?Its really pretty so thats hard to argue with but the desk does scratch easily and the finish tends to get a weird haze that you have to polish out from time to time. Perhaps it my fault for using the wrong product on it. The doors and key tray are pretty clumsy but it’s hard to beat the look of the desk for under $1000. It’s held up pretty well for the 6 years I’ve had it :)Great desk. Bought it to make an L shaped desk area in my office and it worked perfectly with my other brand of desk. It looks great, wasn't the most fun to put together but it was worth it. Looks great!Arrived promptly in excellent condition. Easy to set up, met my wife's expectations (was a gift, she picked it out)this is an AWESOME DESK. it is stylish, sturdy and looks amazing and spacious.That is the best I can say about this lovely desk!! I would recommend this to anyone. Very easy to assemble too!I've had this desk just about two years, and it definitely wasn't worth the money.The finish is horrendous. Scratches, rubbed off paint, chips...just not a quality finish (I own other Coaster products and have the same issues with them.) There are also places that were not painted during the manufacturing process. Not sure of the cause, but it seems furniture made in Vietnam all have the same finish problems.It's a solid desk, but unless you like the distressed look, you'll want to pass this one by.
