It is a quiet fan - even on the higher setting. The clip / base combo is clever, but not my favorite configuration. It does work. The clip is large, but it is strong. It works perfect in my grow tent. The low speed setting is great for 4sq ft tent. I predict that it would be sufficient for an 8-16sq ft tent as well. The fan tilts, but not much - 30 degrees, maybe. It rotates as well. I cannot think of a scenario in which the short, coiled power cord would be nice or usable without an extension cord. Overall, this seems to be a good fan. I'm happy with it for my grow tent. It is expensive for a small fan. Time will tell if it is worth it.
