Easy to put togetherI bought this item for my home office with a little hesitation after reading some other reviews about it falling apart, etc. However, the one I received was excellent quality and I had no trouble with the screws not holding it together. The item looks really nice in my office and fits well on a shelf, which will help me keep my papers off of my desk and more organized. The drawers slide out too, which is very convenient, in case I want to pull one down and look through it. I would buy this item again, and I might even get another one for my work office.I'm a second grade teacher, and I absolutely love this thing. I use it everyday to help sort my papers and help my students know where to put their homework. As for assembly, I definitely had my dad assemble it for me LOL but I don't think he said it was too hardNeeded a 3 tier document holder for forms, but it had to fit in a tight spot. This did the trick without coating an absurd amount of money.Assembly was quick and easy. Trays slide very well. Great storage for paper and such in my closet.I purchased this a couple of years ago and left it assembled on a desk that I don't use. Today I decided I could use it so I picked it up and it promptly fell apart. I figured the screws had loosened over time (although no real reason why that should be the case). There are four cross bars that are attached with a screw at each end of each crossbar. These screws don't tighten down into the crossbar. They just spin (all but one of them, that is). It shouldn't be so hard to make the cross bars properly threaded to accept the screws. I guess you could replace them with slightly tighter fitting screws, and force them to re-thread the crossbar. If this had been done, I would have given it a higher rating.The other issue is that the trays slide in and out very easily, so count on having them slide out anytime you try to remove something from a tray. Not a huge deal, but kind of inconvenient. You could tighten the fit up a bit by pinching the track on the tray.Our desk looks awesome with these trays! Very easy to assembly and the rubber “feet” keep them steady!The rods did not fit into the screws. My husband had to force them which took a while.
