While the final desk is nice and is a good addition to our home, here are the drawbacks: 1. Hard to assemble. The tools they give you are inadequate. There is one step for which the hardware is unspecified. My husband happens to be great at this stuff and has every tool known to man. We lucked out. 2. The file cabinet is for legal files. It doesn't specify that anywhere in the product details. You need to add a frame for letter-sized folders. 3. It's really hard to see this but the top is NOT truly rectangular. By the chair, it curves. Not at all what I expected. You really have to look hard to see that in the photos and the description is deceiving.We purchased this glass top desk in April 2019 and although not perfect, it looked real nice in our space. Yesterday while I was working from home and on a video call, the entire glass top shattered on me! I burst into tears as it sounded like an explosion. We had glass in all the surrounding rooms and are still vacuuming tiny pieces as we feel them walking around. This should not have ever happened! Period! If a child was sitting at the desk instead of me, they could have been seriously hurt.My hand got cut twice because the corner of the glass was damaged and chipped. I’m extremely disappointed in this product. The assembly is very difficult and took so much time and on top of that the packaging of the corners safety were not done. If this is a glass product, protect the corners too otherwise it’s definitely going to get damaged during transport. All 3 CORNERS of this glass top were damaged because of the lack of care of this company to protect their products. Do not purchase this product.Assembly was time consuming, the drawers seem to function ok but feel cheap. A couple of parts arrived with dented corners (not major but def noticeable) but all the hardware was complete. The glass top looks excellent and arrived undamaged. It looks okay for the money, a bit nicer than other cheap desks with laminate tops. Overall I give it a 3/5, losing a star each for the drawers being slightly cheap feeling and arriving with minor damage.For the price...it's great. I just needed help lifting the glass top in place but other than that - I did it myself (female, 62). Unfortunately, the top drawer that locks, sticks after opening about 4". After 5 tries of either adjusting all screws, parts and whatever it still sticks and does not open completely. .Therefore, I lost the use of the drawer. Nonetheless, it's a decent desk and I'm happy with my purchase.This is a large glass top desk. My People had no problem assembling it. No problems at all. The moment I need another one I am all over it.Just received desk today. Great quality but glass came broken. Took 3+ hours to follow steps and when it came to unpack glass, it was broken on the side where it is very visible. it was such a bummer.The table top came damaged where the 4 round disks are that screw on underneath to the frame, the frosting was peeled off around them. It can't be repaired as the whole underside has a white film that causes it to look frosted and not clear. This is not a quality desk, it's a low end home type desk at best. The boxes they ship in are not the greatest or packed well, the attached white cabinet was dinged too. DO NOT BUY THIS or you will regret it. If I get a free new top shipped to me that has no damage, I will remove this, but not until! Seller - Message me and I will send pictures.
