I bought this desk because I needed more space for my graduate studies to be able to spread out with my texts, notes and laptop. Ultimately this provides the space and so far (it’s still early) seems sturdy. You do have to keep in mind that you get what you pay for, and this hits that mark. The materials aren’t top notch but do get the job done without being a total eyesore. My biggest issue is with the instructions. The booklet provided was pretty unclear and hard to follow - and I have successfully put together many pieces of furniture before this one. The holes meant for screwing on the bracket at the end were painted over and very hard to see, so use a flashlight when installing and you should be able to find them. All pieces were delivered in good shape and I was provided extra pieces (e.g. 3 wooden dowels instead of the specified 2). Some hardware is visible after construction as shown in the listed images (silver pieces in the underside backing support panels). All in all I think this desk will suit my needs, but again I haven’t put it to the test quite yet. Also, it will take two people to assemble due to the size of the desk and you should refrain from putting this together too close to the wall - some of the final steps require you to get under and behind the desk, so you will have unnecessary difficulty if you put this together up against the wall. The biggest issues on the first day will be forgotten on the 999th. The packaging came to me a little torn. It's not their fault. Remember to separate UPS from Regal Living. I open the package and there was a small ding on the corner of one of the table pieces. It adds character to the desk. I'm not gonna make a complaint, ask for a refund, or give one star because of 1 percent of the desk. The instructions have no words and the pictures are too small to be detailed enough to make sense of the pieces on their own. That's why they have little stickers to help identify the pieces. I can use my head. It takes me about an hour to put it together. That's not any longer that most Ikea furniture I have in my apartment.Does it shake when I push on it? Most things will if you push hard enough. I didn't buy it to run a stability and durability test on it. I'm not gonna test its limits. That's not what's it's built for to use.I have two 24" monitors, a laptop, a keyboard, and a mouse that all fit comfortably on it. Tons of space? No. Space for what I need on it? Yes. The shelves hold my PS4, games, and controllers with ample room.I made some additions by adding in a surge protector by nailing it into the back board. It's holding very well. I've done some cord management to make it clean and put some cord staples in the sides. My desk is what I wanted it to be on the first day. I'm ready for the next 999 days.when i first recieved this office desk unit, i looked at the box and thought" shoot" all day project boy was i wrong!!! the only thing for me is it is very heavy, but its beautiful my boyfriend put this unit in ,ide say 45 minutes max. cause he needs b,breaks so probably can be set up in 25 minuteas . the price was reasonable. all part were there as well as hardware. only thing i thought i seen but mabie not but could have swarn it had a drawer..the box it came in said glass handle with care but there wasnt any i thought that to be odd. so not sure if its a missing part or put there on purpose, anyway i have pics but will have to post after..well heres that pic. of desk and what roomy area you have for gadgets..I ABSOLUTELY LOVE RYAN KRISTEN CORNER L SHAPE COMPUTER DESK IN BLACK. THANK YOU.Assembly was a bit confusing at first but after you figure out that step one won't have even pieces then the rest should just match up from there. Numbers were missing from some of the pieces but still was able to figure it out. I did this on my own and had no trouble, although I'm sure it would've been even easier with a partner.I want to give 5 stars because I love the product but it was missing the two small panels that attach under the desk and holds the separate sides together. Without them, it’s unstable in the front and not as secure as it could be. I have the 16 screws but no panels. I’m now hesitant to fully use the desk to its full potential which is a headache more than anythingThis desk is garbage. The price is ridiculous for what you're receiving! First of all, it came damaged with chunks of wood and paint missing and splintered. Half the wood panels don't even come labeled so you have to look at undetailed pictures and hope for the best. The directions are awful awful awful! They're set up so that if you follow them, you'll end up with the most inefficient and unstable method of putting it together. For example, attaching panels 4 & 5 before setting 8 on its side and putting in the side panels will cause a crack from the pressure or it will be too low to the ground for you to put in the screws, dealer's choice. At the end, the desk sides that create the L-shape are not matching and don't fit together, actually the whole desk feels like it may collapse at any moment. They don't include holes to put the panels that might connect the desk tops and possibly make it a little stable. The bottoms keep wobbling as well. I can't believe I paid $150 for this junk!I only have a few days using it but I think for the price is fair quality, feels steady. My husband is not such an assembly expert and he did not have any inconvenience it took him about half an hour to assembly it, dimensions are exact (which I appreciate because I really had a narrow space and the desk either had to fit in or had to fit in). Color is as you see it in the picture at least for oak one that I ordered. The product itself is SO pretty. But i had so much frustration understanding the very first part. You’re literally looking at a picture and trying to guess where exactly it is. I was over thinking it and once I got the hang of it it perfectly went together. I did it myself with a toddler going crazy and finished in 2 hours. From the day I got it to 3 days later I sat down and got it my second time trying. I’m super happy with this desk.
