the diameter of the magnified aperture is not adjustable. this does not allow for any fine tuning basically without moving the entire structure, which doesn't help really because when pulling back on the structure to make any adjustment,Easy to install..!!!! I will order a second one soon….!!!I used this magnifying/lite to help me look at and evaluate the condition of coins…I feel that the “circle” of lite does not do as good a job that a more direct light would. I have this 1:350 model of the Titanic that I've been sitting on since 1998. With this new 'stay at home' thing, I've been gradually building my workspace and collecting upgrade parts for this model, including A LOT of super fine photo-etched brass parts. These parts are so fine and delicate that you can't really see the detail without a magnifying glass. And, you need a nice stable, well light magnifying glass to work with them. I like this one. The LED lights are adjustable from barely illuminating to super-bright. The magnifying glass is nice and big, and crystal clear with no distortion. The articulated arm is perfectly balanced. The surface mount is padded at the top to eliminate damage to your desk top. The price is very reasonable. The lamp is very good. Five stars.Post and hole to connect the lamp to the base is looser than it should be. This creates additional ’tweaking’ to get the glass in the right spot over a mounted project. Otherwise, no issues! Good lighting and controls. Good magnification. Good value for the price.Perfect for all my crafts, and can even do it with my hands in my proyects, easy to asemble and extremelly bright for those proyects where you need real light like jewelry !!!Excellent product excellent valueReceived yesterday the lamp. The head lamp with the glass was not screwed. I had to disassemble a plastic cover to try to fix that my self. I hope its fixed since parts seem to be missing and I added a not and bolt so it would hold up. Moreover, one of the spring-tensor (see photo) was bent useless (see photo).
