It took longer than it should have to assemble mainly because the supplied allen wrench was difficult to use with the force needed to screw in the screws. The screw heads are not sunken in beyond the surface, which makes it look rather cheap. There are adhesive tabs you can put on some of the screw heads, but they will not stay in place too long. I would have given a higher rating if not for these 2 items. The complete desk is made of engineered wood, so be careful with anything damp and/or wet or it will swell and fall apart.
