AOPSS2036 - Artistic Clear Plastic Desk Protector Mat for Office & Home Use, Scratch-Resistant & Waterproof, Perfect for Writing, Drawing & Keyboard Protection

Been ordering from Amazon for years and this is my first review. The product is actually exactly what I was looking for, thin plastic sheet that allows me to make my own fabric desk protector with a thin cover to keep the material clean. However, the problem with this item is the shipping from Amazon. Seriously this item was shipped flat! It arrived in a giant box (roughly 40" X 30") that was 4 inches thick. The plastic is only about 1/16 of an inch, and there is no way to keep the plastic from sliding around and getting crinkled when shipped like this! Why isn't this rolled up and placed in a tube!?!?Not exactly sure what I am going to do now. The plastic looks utterly terrible and if I didn't have other plans for it, I would definitely return this item! But I will see if it can be salvaged for my purposes. If you are looking for a nice and functional stand alone desk protector, I would suggest purchasing a thicker plastic option.Very basic. Got wrinkled in shipping. Does not have sticky strips to keep it from sliding. I would not buy it againThis desk protector is far too thin to work effectively. Think "window tint" thin. It might keep light scratches at bay but I doubt it would hold up to anything more than that.This worked out great for me but all I needed it for was to protect a desktop that we paint at - nothing more. It is very thin like plastic card stock and will slide around if not anchored in some way. Please do not confuse these little $8 sheets that come shipped in a poster tube with the $40-$50 ones you find at Office Depot or you will be disappointed. This is more like a pliable film - not a mat! But if all you need is a surface protected for a cheap price - this should work well!A bit flimsy.mehNO STARS...This was TERRIBLE!! I wasn't expecting much, but my expectations were not even close to being met. The seller folds it in half and creases it to ship it, it looks like it has been laying out in the road for a few weeks being run over and will not lay flat.The plastic is very thin and moves around when you place it on the desk.
