Standard piano lamp. Gets hot to the touch after awhile, but that makes sense. You can adjust it a bit. I think for its price point, it’s perfect.Wow! We are impressed with its quality and it was packed so well! This lamp replaces an antique lamp that finally stopped working. All I can say, for the price and the quality one great item! By the way it's satin nickel that gives it a rich look!Used on my piano. Should have included light bulb for over $40. Nice lampAssembly was a bit tricky, but now that it's together it looks fantastic on my piano.I bought 2 different brands. Both are almost identical. Other brands sent to me were used and damaged.after I got both ( 2 different models). I can compare it side by side. Boston Harbor had a good base cover/thicker than other brands). And the price is $3 less than other brands. Very happy with it.It adds elegance in my piano room. Love the size and finish is nice.I needed a piano lamp and wanted something that looked classic. I really wanted to find something with a dark brown or even black finish, but couldn't afford to spend $150 or more on a LAMP! I was completely disappointed to find how expensive so many lamps of this style are and because of that, was then skeptical when I saw this for $28. I figured it was worth a shot and ordered it.It arrived quickly and needs no assembly. It doesn't come with a light bulb which was no surprise, but I ordered a T10 4W LED bulb from Amazon as well. With that installed it gives bright warm light and is adjustable for various reaches. Some people gave it poor marks because it is "tippy". I found it's not tippy whatsoever. It has a nice stable base and has no problems providing more than ample light. If you set the base in one location and then pivot the whole assembly as far as it will reach at 90-degrees right at the pivot closest to the base, then yes, it'll tip. If you use it like a normal lamp without trying to make it reach 12 inches to the front of the base, you're not going to have any worries.For $28 I'm very pleased. The silver satin color is attractive and the whole assembly looks clean and neat. Great bargain!Answered my search for a lamp usable on my hybrid piano. Wish that its lamp threw light further across two open music pages.
